Ship Owner

SMO are Owners of three sea-river ships. These ships operate mostly between the Rhône river and the Mediterranean.

The ships transport different cargos such as scrap, bulk cement, grains, steels, or project cargos. They are able to reach low draft ports as far as Chalon-sur-Saône, which is over 400 km from the nearest sea port, with 1.500 T of cargo! Sea-river transports such as this can be a great advantage for import or export companies with inland factories – they can avoid costly / dangerous trans-shipments in sea ports and also the organisation of extra truck or train transport.

Sea-River Shipping

As it's name suggests, Sea-River Shipping is a combined sea- and river-based transport. These modern, specialised ships can sail indifferently at sea or on river, allowing them to transport cargo bteween distant sea ports and inland riverside installations.
